Taking a trip to Idaho.

The wife, kids and I are heading back to Boise, Idaho, for the holidaze. Well we were supposed to be there for Christmas but the little guy got sick, so we decided to push our flight back a week and head down for the new year. I haven’t been back in a few years and I am really excited to see some truly missed friends and family. It’s making me get all gushy for Idaho, the state that molded me into who I am. It’s a beautiful place, inspiring even.

So, early as hell this morning, I watched a couple films made by some Idaho buddies and it really is getting me excited to go back.

First I watched some short films by the enigmatic Idahoan, Mike Wilson. Man, I remember meeting Mike at the skatepark in Moscow, ID when he was still in high school (currently in WK 12). This one is a total mind melter. And this one uses an an old tune I wrote.

Then I put in Bikecar, by my pal Joey Fountain. So many shots of the Idaho roads that I have traveled so often. I am so nostalgic for those roads that I could feel the adventure. Such a cool film and I am proud to have contributed some music to the thang.

Idaho, prepare yourself for 5 days of the Winter Family. So stoked.
